Using patented pleated media and centrifugal cyclones, these filters enhance air purity for sensitive applications while maintaining a low pressure drop to minimize energy consumption.
Atlas Copco categorizes its line filters into specific grades, each designed to capture different types of contaminants:
- Grade DD & DDp (General Purpose Coalescing / Dust Filters): Designed for bulk liquid and particle removal, protecting your downstream equipment from particles down to 1 micron and oil carryover down to 0.1 mg/m³.
- Grade PD & PDp (High-Efficiency Coalescing Filters): Fine-tuned for oil aerosol removal and dry particulate filtration down to 0.01 microns. These reduce oil carryover to 0.01 mg/m³.
- Grade QD (Oil Vapor Removal Filters): Activated carbon filters designed to adsorb oil vapors and odors, leaving remaining oil content at an ultra-trace amount of 0.003 mg/m³.
- Grade UD (Ultramicro Coalescing Filters): Provides the highest level of coalescing, capturing sub-micron particles down to 0.01 microns while reducing oil aerosols to 0.001 mg/m³.
- Grade DDw (Water Separators): Uses centrifugal force to mechanically drop out large volumes of liquid condensate from the air stream before reaching coalescing filters.
